Melita means honey sweet in Greek. I started HoneySweet living so I could talk about my passion for food and design. In one of my many times living in Japan, I started doing yoga and totally changed the way I eat. Over the past seven years I have developed new recipes to eat my favorite foods without feeling bad or breaking out in hives from food allergies. Around this same time I embarked upon a new career of interior design, which has me looking at my environment in a whole new light.
As an interior designer I look for beauty in everything around me. I find inspiration in the most unlikely places. My husband calls me a food genius. I’m all about eating healthy, but that does NOT mean you can’t eat amazing yummy food. Most of my recipes focus on dairy-free, pork-free and whole grain options.

Enjoy the HoneySweet Living way of life!
Any designer who does not appreciate or know about good food is not a very good designer. The planning of a meal and its presentation – the texture, the color, the tastes, the hot and cold temperatures – are the same concerns that affect an environment.
